Kammprofile gaskets have a solid metal core with concentric serrated grooves machined into the top and bottom surfaces. The metal core is usually stainless steel, but can be supplied in a variety of metallurgy as per customer request. The serrated core is covered with a soft sealing material ( Graphite ).
